Frequently Asked Questions
Is your jewellery solid gold?
Yes. Every CURAYE piece is solid 9ct gold, hallmarked.
Why 9ct gold?
9ct gold is a harder alloy than 18ct, so it resists scratches and dents better in everyday wear. For pieces designed to be worn daily, that durability matters more than gold content.
Will it tarnish or change colour?
Solid gold will not flake or wear through. Over time, 9ct can lose some lustre from skin oils, perfume and lotion. A gentle clean with a soft cloth brings it back.
Is your white gold plated?
Our white gold pieces are finished with rhodium, which gives them a bright white surface. With daily wear, the rhodium can soften over the years. Any jeweller can re-plate it.
Are lab-grown diamonds real diamonds?
Yes. A lab-grown diamond has the same crystal structure, hardness and brilliance as a mined diamond. The difference is origin: it is grown above ground rather than mined from below it. Gemmologists grade both on the same scale.
How do I know your diamonds are what you say they are?
Every CURAYE diamond is independently graded by IGI (International Gemological Institute), and its report number is laser-inscribed on the edge of the stone. The IGI report is included in the box. Any jeweller with a loupe can match the inscription to the report.
What payment methods do you accept?
Visa, Mastercard, American Express, UnionPay, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Shop Pay.
Where do you ship, and how much does it cost?
We ship within Australia only, for now. Express shipping is complimentary on every order.
How long will my order take?
Orders are dispatched within 2 business days and sent by Australia Post Express Post, which usually arrives in 1–3 business days in metropolitan areas. Regional areas may take longer. If you need a piece by a particular date, email us before ordering and we will tell you honestly whether it will arrive in time.
Do I need to be home for delivery?
Yes. Given the value of each piece, every order requires a signature. If you're out, Australia Post will leave a card so you can collect it.
Can I send it as a gift?
Every order arrives gift-boxed, and you can ship it directly to the recipient.
Can I return my order?
Non-pierced pieces can be returned within 30 days if unworn, in original condition and packaging, with proof of purchase. For hygiene reasons, earrings can't be returned or exchanged for change of mind.
What if my piece arrives faulty?
Please email us as soon as possible. For a faulty piece, we cover return shipping and offer a refund, exchange or store credit, whichever you prefer. This doesn't affect your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
How do I start a return?
Email contact@curaye.com.au with your order number and the reason. We reply within 24 hours on business days.
How do I care for my jewellery?
Remove it before swimming or showering, and before applying perfume or lotion. Store each piece separately so it doesn't scratch against other jewellery, and clean it gently with a soft, dry cloth.
